Pop stars strip for covers

Stars stripping down for magazines is not new, but pop singers going topless of posing nude for their album covers is the latest thing catching up. Recently Rihanna has stripped, let's look at the singers who have posed nude on the covers...

Janet Jackson's topless cover of her 2004 album 'Damita Jo' created quite a stir. The cover that showed her wearing only low-rise jeans, with her arms wrapped around her shadow-bathed assets was termed as 'simple' and 'youthful'. American rap artist Lil' Kim's third album 'La Bella Mafia' sold 166,000 copies in the first week of its release in March 2003. It has since sold over 1 million copies worldwide and gone Platinum. Clearly Lil' Kim's voice is as sexy as her album cover!  (REUTERS/Brad Rickerby)

International Belgian-Italian singer Lara Fabian released '9' in French in 2005. For the art work of the album Lara undressed to pose in some sensual positions. The cover had a photo of her symbolising 'rebirth'. (REUTERS/Andrew Wallace)
