'Just Friends' kya?

'We are just good friends!'. This cover up line is the sole defence of those who go holding hands, yet hesitate to declare their love in public. The lovebirds call their affair 'friendship' whenever they need to hide their fling. Here's a list of those celebs.

Freida and Dev Patel: The couple who played childhood sweethearts in the Oscar-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire, have frequently dismissed rumours that they are dating for real, even after their co-star Anil Kapoor hinted they were romantically involved.
Salman and Katrina have not made their relationship public, though insiders say love is very much in the air. In fact, they themselves are finding it hard to hide their emotions. Witnessing their moves of late, it looks like Salman is hell bent on tying the knot. But is Kat interested? (Pic Courtesy: Star Plus)
Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan too did their bit to camoflauge their romance. Vidya had stated in a press conference that Shahid is just a very 'good friend' though the chemistry between the two, at that time, said something else! (BCCL Photo)
One of the highly anticipated flicks of 2008 was Love Story 2050, but unfortunately the film bombed at the box office. Starring Priyanka Chopra and her then boyfriend Harman Baweja, the film was criticised for the lack of onscreen chemistry between the lead pair. They were known to be dating much before Love... but Priyanka maintained that they were just "good friends".
Ranvir Shorey and Konkona Sen Sharma are hush-hush about their love life, but the latest buzz is that the two have got engaged. Rumour has it that they are even living together. But they are yet to make their relationship official! (Photo/Sachin Gokhale) (BCCL)
Siddharth and Soha shared screen space in Rang De Basanti. Though they weren't paired in the film but the duo seem to have developed a great rapport off screen. They were even seen together at a few functions. However, they denied any romantic angle to their appearance at that time. (Photo/Prathamesh Bandekar) (BCCL)
Mona Singh and Karan Oberoi were spotted together everywhere but the couple kept their love behind closed doors. Mona said in an interview, "What romance? There's nothing betwen us and I'm too ambitious to get into a relationship." (Photo/Nilesh Wairikar) (BCCL)
Actor Narayani Shastri seems hesitant to admit that she and actor Gaurav Chopra are more than just good friends. She says "I enjoy partying, going out for films or visiting restaurants with him. But we haven't contemplated marriage as yet." (Photo/K. K. Choudhary) (BCCL)
Karan Patel and Amita Chandekar partnered on Nach Baliye 3 but later Karan confessed that she was never his real-life girlfriend. He clarified that he and Amita were just 'close friends' and they were together for some time, though not as a couple. (BCCL Photo)
