Madhur Bhandarkar

It seems that there is no relief for noted Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar in the Preeti Jain rape case. A local court will conduct a fresh inquiry into the rape charges made by budding actress Preeti Jain.

Madhur Bhandarkar's troubles are far from over. In 2004, model-turned-actress Preeti Jain accused Bollywood director Bhandarkar of raping her.

Bhandarkar had first raped her in May 1999, then another 16 times over the next five years. Peeti Jain alleged he had promised her a lead role in his films but did not keep his word.

The Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate rejected Mumbai Police report in this case and said that court will record Preeti Jain's statement on Dec 22, 2009. The Police had filed adverse report in this case.
