Celebs who defeated 'Cancer'

'When There Is A Will, There Is A Way'; and who can tell this better than the strong survivors who fought with lethal disease 'Cancer'. Here are the few who won this battle with their sheer will-power.

In 2005, Australian pop star Kylie Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer. Initially, the doctors by mistake gave her an 'all-clear' sign but after getting subsequent medical opinions, it was proved to be an aggressive type of breast cancer. In less than three years, Lance Armstrong has beaten the odds by surviving cancer. In October 1996, the cyclist learned he had testicular cancer that had spread to his abdomen, lungs and brain. He was given a 50 percent chance of survival and had surgery to remove his right testicle and brain lesions, followed by three months of chemotherapy. In 1997, Armstrong was declared cancer-free and he began his cycling comeback in May 1998. (REUTERS)
