B'wood's actors turned singers

The role of a singer is very important in our Hindi films, as they provide voice to an actor. But there are some talented actors in our industry who lend their own voices. Here are some actors who can really sing well. Kites in the SkyHrithik Roshan debuts as a singer with his upcoming film 'Kites'. He has sung the title song of the film 'Kites in the Sky'.

Neela aasmanThough not a trained singer, Big B sings lots of songs in various movies like 'Neela aasman' in Yash Chopra's 'Silsila', 'Mere paas aao mere doston' in 'Mr Natwarlal', 'Main yahaan tu wahan' in 'Baghban' and boyish innocence in the title piece of R Balki's 'Paa'.

Aa Dekhen ZaraNeil Nitin Mukesh comes from a family of singers, yet Neil chose to be in front of the camera rather than behind the microphone. Now Neil Nitin Mukesh reverting to his granddad Mukesh and dad Nitin Mukesh's profession to pack some punch in a reworking of R D Burman's 1970s classic, 'Aa Dekhen Zara'.

Singh is Kinng, oh yeah! Akshay Kumar has proved himself that he can be number one by singing the rap song in his movie ‘Chandni Chowk to China’. Akki also sung for ‘Singh is Kinng’ movie.

'Right here right now' Following the footsteps of his Paa, son Abhishek Bachchan shows off his vocal chops in Vishal-Shekhar's stylish hip hop mix, 'Right here right now' in 'Bluffmaster' movie. That was pretty cool attempt Abhi!

Chameli Ki ShaadiAnil Kapoor is a trained semi-classical singer and he sung the title track of 'Chameli Ki Shaadi' movie. Music director of the movie was Kalyanji Virji Shah & Anandji Virji Shah. Prakash Mehra was the lyricist. The movie was a very good comedy and Anil's singing attempt in the title track made it memorable.

Jab Nahin Aye The TumKareena Kapoor sang for herself on the song "Jab Nahin Aye The Tum", for the movie 'Dev'. The song was a hit as Bebo had lent her hearty feelings to the song.

'Gore gore baanke choreyThere's something incredibly animated and amusing about Govinda's playback singing skills. 'Meri pant bhi sexy' in 'Dulaara' and 'Gore gore baanke chorey' in 'Shola Aur Shabnam' are some of the examples we will always remember.

Rock On!Farhan Akhtar, with his all rock performance in the film ‘Rock On’, especially with the title song was very much a teenage rage all over.

Apun bolaShahrukh Khan too had debuted in this crooning arena with his song ‘Apun Bola, in the film ‘Josh’, in 2000. The song had become a National rage and was a good peppy number!
